Wellness app concept
Wellness app concept, with the intent of increasing the potential user’s mind and body health, through mindfulness exercises and physical workouts.
Considering statistics found in our research, we discovered that only 1 of 3 adults fulfill the suggested amount of daily activity to stay healthy, mental illness has grown exponentially amongst adults in the 21st century, and physical and mental health are connected to one another more closely than one might think.
Through interviews and field research, we discovered that fitness and mindfulness exercises are not one-size-fits-all formulas, and catering to each individual member's needs will give us a higher chance of success.
We created Fully to cater to and manage our members track to better physical and mental health. In the app we offer a quiz to better understand each user's needs and after analyzing the results, they receive a personalized schedule of exercises and readings to keep them stimulated to continue their journey.
Redesign of activities app for the Los Angeles Area
Redesign of well known activities app for the Los Angeles Area
The app itself is extremely useful for LA natives and visitors that are looking for spontaneous adventures. It shows 5 different things to do in the city, one on each category: Art, Urban, Food, Music and wildcard event. The app is simple and colorful, but the User Experience is difficult and their User Interface has an active role in that.
Although the app has great potential content-wise, the following issues surfaced during user tests and interviews: → Background pattern is busy and type size is minuscule. → Besides being small, the text forms itself in tight and long chunks. → The “favorite” icon doesn’t give the user a hint that it is a favorite icon. → After favoriting an event, the user cannot unfavorite it, unless they pay $1.99 to undo the task. → Buttons are so small, when tapping on one of them, often the page of the button beside it opens. → It is hard for the user to find further information on desired events besides the paragraph of information the app provides. → Linked urls are often broken. → There is no “return to previous page” icon or breadcrumbs to guide user.
Categories became much easier to read and clickable, with the addition of solid buttons, and the distance icon is easier to understand as it became a compass. Fun background pattern was kept but no longer competes with the most important information on the page. Clickable sections are much easier to tap on after the update, and the main information is centered as a header. Frame is visibly scrollable and description is easier to read. “Read more” button added to description so user has the option to access other information quickly if not interested in reading the description. Important features added, such as viewing images related to event, quick access to social media, forum section and website for event if applicable.
On-Flight Essentials Kit
MeKit provides a service to ease users minds during their in-flight experience while living at COVID-19 times.
The ever-evolving dangers and discoveries of COVID-19 made flying a worrisome experience. Airlines were doing their best to keep passengers safe but that did not shake passengers' feelings of unease.
We've discovered through our research that certain hygiene and entertainment items could be provided to passengers to make them feel more comfortable while flying.
We created essential kits based on different types of flyer archetypes. The kits include hygiene and health safety items such as surgical masks, antiviral wipes, hand sanitizer, and portable soap sheets to name a few. Additionally, each kit includes unique extra items specific to each archetype. This allows flyers to experience a moment of joy receiving a special kit tailored to their travel personality and will help them on their journey.
