Connecting food-insecure families with local food pantries
Mobile app that delivers pantry-provided foods to families in need and offers recipes as well as games based on the recipes.
California has the largest GDP of any state in the United States. Despite that, Los Angeles County is home to the largest population of food-insecure people in the nation. According to the California Association of Food Banks, at least 1 in 4 families suffer from food insecurity.
Families with children are almost twice as likely to suffer from food insecurity than families without children. In addition to that, one of the greatest struggles is feeding picky children. However, when parents take the time to get creative, their children are more likely to eat healthy foods.
Fun With Food helps families by delivering groceries from nearby food pantries and offering easy-to-follow recipes based on the week’s grocery list. Furthermore, it provides grocery box customization based on diet preferences and cooking games for children based on that week’s recipes.

People spend up to 10 hours exploring the immersive worlds of Meow Wolf: Convergence Station. However, visitors tend to only scratch the surface of the exhibit’s narrative. How can we create a user experience that allows users to relive their memories of the visit and discover more engaging and puzzling content?
Meow Wolf’s niche amongst other immersive experiences is their puzzling storylines and extensive plots. Holographic experiences are becoming more popularized today with brands like Adidas, Stella McCartney, and Coachella using the medium to creatively engage their audience.

Digital Map Redesign and Local Guide
A mobile-first, easy-to-use interactive map that helps event-goers navigate and better explore their city, along with an informative list of restaurants, shops, and points of interest on the route.
Upwards of 100,000 participants attend CicLAvia events, with participants coming from across the county to explore a new part of the city. However, CicLAvia’s current interactive map is hard to use and overwhelming to look at, especially on mobile. How can we help CicLAvia event-goers quickly access information in digital spaces and promote city exploration?
Mobile experiences need to be prioritized when working with non-profit organizations. A survey has shown that over 60% of CicLAvia participants have been there more than once, but 80% have never used the current Ciclavia digital map. Many people at the CicLAvia event needed a map and directions. Finally, over 90% of people were interested in seeing a list of businesses along the route.
CicLAvia's Interactive Map is a mobile-first digital map built on Proxi, a mapping platform that is easy to build and customize, and completely free for non-profits. The new Interactive Map helps event-goers effortlessly navigate and better explore their city. In addition to that, the solution includes Spots Along the Route — a list of points of interest, shops, and restaurants including a description and filter options.
